mse Aussie employee gains UK Citizenship
Mark Blakeway, Senior Lettings Negotiator, originally from Sydney was delighted to recently be awarded his UK Citizenship. Mark met his English girlfriend back in Sydney in 2003 when she was travelling, they then set out for a life together in the UK. Following a change in visa after their wedding, Mark then undertook a UK test prior to applying for his UK citizenship after five years.
The ceremony took place at Kingston County Hall on Thursday 19th March and lasted about half an hour. Following a group swearing of the oath and singing of the national anthem, each applicant was met by Margaret Hicks, a Surrey Councillor who proudly presented them with their certificate. Approx. forty people, including two other Aussie individuals were there to receive their citizenship, some were complete families.
mse wish Mark and his wife every happiness in their life in the UK.
